I was playing Defence of the Ancients (DOTA), an online warcraft game featuring a few distinctive heroes with their unique magic and power, with a couple of young ones in my church today, which included my cousin Yingxuan and the little mischievious boy Joseph. They were simply amazing! I became the feeder (someone who is constantly killed for benefit of levelling up for others); opps! Ce jie, another old bird, is in that same category as me too – feeder.

I was astounded by the level of maturity of the young guys. They have grown up so quickly. Can you imagine Joseph actually guiding me, he was sitting beside me, which skills to choose for my hero and what items to buy – he’s only 11, becoming more rotund and well-behaved than before though.

Yingxuan’s skills were remarkable too. He murdered me mercilessly on so many occasions when my intention of approaching him was to bury him. I never actually succeeded.

I was thankful, though i was a feeder, that the young ones gave me a room into their exciting world of DOTA.
